Philosophy of the Practice of Law
There are various aspects of how Larry Israel practices law that significantly affect the benefits received by Clients. 3. Self Help An important aspect of how Larry Israel & Associates provides its services is to recognize that there are situations where Clients may wish to engage in considerable “self-help”, whether because of economics, or because they in fact may know more about the background involved, or for other reasons. Clients cannot legally “practice law”, but there are many things that they can do to assist in solving their own problems and meeting their own needs.
For the Client who wishes to engage in such “self help”, and who is fully cognizant of the potential risks as well as the potential benefits in doing so, the firm will provide |

appropriate levels of assistance. One of the most frequent areas in which this arises is when a matter should be dealt with in Small Claims Court ($5,000 limit), rather than in Superior Court. If that seems an appropriate forum, you will be advised, and will be given appropriate advice and counsel if you wish to pursue the matter yourself (parties in Small Claims Court are not permitted to be represented in court by an attorney).
